During these interactive art workshops, we will get acquainted with the overall concept of the exhibition. The art workshops will focus on the phenomenon of film from the perspective of the story and also from the perspective of editing. We will look at the story (narrative) as a sequence of events of individual scenes observed over time or as a basic principle of thinking. The workshops entitled Image, Diptych and Story will focus on the image component and temporal composition through various forms of visual representation – the still image, the two-part scene (diptych), and chronologically arranged images through a recorded story (linking text and image). In our artistic work we will use approaches ranging from drawing techniques to the medium of painting.

In a series of workshops entitled Collage and Principles of Montage, we will focus on working with paper and will use, for example, printed materials, our own documents, records consisting of both texts and drawings and photographsas art materials. Through combined and experimental techniques (collage, photomontage, assemblage, drawing, etc.), we will create distinctive artistic representations.

This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.

This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
