Creative art workshops will be dedicated to the graphic work of František Bílek. The workshops will take place in the studio of the Education Centre, where we will get acquainted with the creation of an image on a matrix (A6 format) and with art tools for creating graphic art. During the art work we will be inspired by Bílek’s distinctive handwriting (horizontal and vertical lines in graphic sheets) and his original symbolism in the Art Nouveau period. We will focus on making graphic sheets (A5, A4 format). During the workshop, we will focus on artistic elements such as line, surface, contrast and drawing, and a printmaking technique – relief printing (linocut). For the youngest visitors there will be various types of paperboard and cardboard for engraving matrices on the experimental level.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
This activity is implemented with the financial support of UNHCR (The UN Refugee Agency) and the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
