This art workshop will be dedicated to the graphic work of František Bílek. The workshop will take place on the premises of the studio at the Educational Centre of the GHMP, where we will get acquainted with the creation of an image on a matrix (A6 format) and with the artistic tools for creating graphics. During this artistic work we will be inspired by Bílek’s distinctive handwriting (horizontal and vertical lines in graphic prints) which combined elements of Symbolism, Art Nouveau, Expressionism, and Decadence. We will focus on making graphic sheets (A5, A4 format). During the workshop we will focus on artistic elements such as line, surface, contrast, and drawing, as well as the graphic technique of relief printing (linocut). For younger visitors there will be various types of paperboard and cardboard for engraving matrices on an experimental level.
This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
