Art workshop for adults and seniors / integration and intergenerational programme: Watercolour – Colour Making

An interactive art workshop will respond to the selection of artworks from the collections of Prague City Gallery. The artistic work will focus on drawing and painting mediums. During the workshop entitled Watercolour – Colour Making, participants will try the traditional procedure for preparing their own watercolours, mixing powder pigments with a binder. The actual procedure and process of making the colour shades will be an interesting creative activity reminiscent of a craft workshop. It will be possible to use the mixed colours together for artistic work, for glaze using watercolours and for creating the composition of a picture. The artistic workshop will introduce the participants to selected artists (such as A. Bílek, M. Ponc) and we will draw inspiration from the forms of abstraction and geometric shapes in their work.

 

This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
