Art workshop for adults and seniors / integration and intergenerational programme: Watercolour – Colour Making

An interactive art workshop will respond to the selection of artworks from the collections of Prague City Gallery. The artistic work will focus on painting medium. During the workshop entitled Watercolour – Colour Making, participants will try the traditional procedure for preparing their own watercolours, mixing powder pigments with a binder. The actual process of making the colour shades will be an interesting creative activity reminiscent of a craft workshop. It will be possible to use the mixed colours together for watercolour painting. We will demonstrate the possibilities of watercolour painting and explain the rules of painting composition. The artistic workshop will introduce the participants to selected artists (such as Alois Bílek, Miroslav Ponc) whose works are part of the GHMP collections. We will focus on the forms of abstraction and geometric shapes.

 

This programme is designed not only for adults and seniors, but also for their children and grandchildren as part of an intergenerational encounter. The workshops are also open to foreign visitors.
