The Open Day will be held on the principle of an open studio – an art workshop, designed not only for families with children, but also for other visitors, and will take place in the unique environment of the GHMP Eco-studio in the orangery of Troja Château (in the lower part of the garden). Visitors will be able to create their works at several creative stations that will respond in form and content to the current exhibition An Album of Slow Images / Compositions and Artworks from the Uncertain Situations series and the Baroque environment of Troja Château. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to create your own artistic sheet music using various artistic, experimental, and mixed media (animation, painting, drawing, collage, frottage, and prints). You will then have the chance to play your sheet music live on the spot, using prepared sounds of natural and industrial objects and materials. There will also be a projection of an already created animation which sound can be instantly added to. Furthermore, there will be a range of other art activities such as spatial creation – creating objects from recycled paper and modelling clay, inserting sketches of designs for sculptures and site-specific installations into reproductions of the local garden, flower arranging, making artefacts from natural materials, producing experimental jewellery, working with fabrics, and developing sensory skills in the haptic exhibition.

The workshop is being run by the educators of Prague City Gallery and develops understanding and awareness of ecology and the environment. It is suitable for all target groups and also in the context of the integration of foreigners.

You can come and go at any time during the workshop.
