The catalogue was published on the occasion of the exhibition which took place in the Municipal Library, 2nd floor, Mariánské náměstí 1, Prague 1, from 25 September 1997 to 5 January 1998.

Theodor Pištěk is not only a renowned film artist who has received the most important awards for his work, such as Oscar and Caesar. He is also one of the most interesting Czech painters – hyperrealists. The work he presented at his last large exhibition at the Prague City Gallery has a similar character, although he now works much more with the language of geometry. In addition to paintings in which he plays with space and its illusion, he created their three-dimensional analogies – several fascinating installations. The catalogue contains both reproductions of the mentioned paintings and computer studies, which were the basis for the installation.
