Start up: Dominik Gajarský – Carausius morosus 26. 1. 2016 – 20. 3. 2016

While Dominik Gajarský (*1986) works chiefly with the media of photography and film or other audiovisual forms, the contents of his output are centered primarily around specific and distinct ideas. His most recent work, explores in a visual installation conceived with a great deal of precision the multilayered theme of cultural, social and gender contrasts and conflicts. Its metaphoric story of the stick insect, a creature of exotic origin forcibly grafted into our cultural context, suggests the complexity of all kinds of established relations, as well as the limits of our capacity to understand them.
