Miroslava Večeřová and Pavel Příkaský’s collaborative efforts have evolved alongside their individual work through a long series of joint exhibition projects. These projects represent records of an open dialogue on the practical problems of visual thinking that seeks to overcome the limits of artistic media, as well as theoretical questions related to the contemporary artist’s identity as a therapist for pathological states of society. The products of this collaborative work are characterized by a changing form that includes painting and video art approaches as well as performative and text-based art. Not only do they result from the confrontation of two different creative approaches, but they are also the only adequate solution to the attempt at expressing an authentic position on a real problem. Miroslava Večeřová studied at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague and the University of the Arts London, and currently lives in London. Pavel Příkaský is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts and lives and works in Prague.
