Jana Smrčková

Ing. Jana Smrčková has been working at the Prague City Gallery (GHMP) since 2019 and deals with the organization’s partnerships and the Member and Patron programme, which she revitalized after joining the GHMP. While studying Arts Management at the University of Economics in Prague, she interned at private galleries and completed her studies with an internship at the Globe Dye Works cultural centre in Philadelphia.

Her specialization in the art trade and the private gallery sector continued during her professional career in Berlin and Prague. She tries to pass on her experience in this field to artists within the non-profit organization Artconfer, z.s., which she founded in 2017.

She has transferred this individual approach, which is more typical of private galleries, to visitors of the Prague City Gallery – a large organization – where she applies it within the aforementioned Member and Patron programmes. These loyalty programmes aim to, among other things, bring the gallery closer to the public in a more personal and exclusive way.
