Mgr. Lucie Haškovcová, PhD is the head of the Education Department and GHMP’s special library (Public Programmes Department), where she has been working as an instructor since 2005. She has conceived, organised and implemented educational activities for all target groups for more than 300 exhibitions, she is the founder of GHMP’s Education Centre and Eco-studio and the author of GHMP’s Educational Strategy. She is actively engaged in advocacy in the field of artistic, creative, cultural and informal education. In cultural and heritage institutions and living arts projects, she has experience – including at the government level – of being a member of major grant committees and task forces at the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and the National Institute of Education with the view to systematically provide support to this field. She is the Chair of the Chamber of Educational Workers of the Council of Galleries of the Czech Republic, a member of INSEA (International Society for Education Through Art), the Association of Art Teachers, KOMPAS (Coalition of Interdisciplinary Pedagogical Associations and Groups) and the uMĚNÍM Platform (Platform for Creative Education), where she is part of the advocacy task force team. She is also one of the expert evaluators of the National Accreditation Bureau for Higher Education, where she has already participated in the evaluation of several new fields of study at universities (Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, and the Technical University of Liberec). She has collaborated with many important international institutions, organisations, and projects (Czech Centres, Leica Gallery Prague, 4+4 Days in Motion, App Your School, and others). She is a member of the European Platform on Image Education, which brings together instructors from approximately 15 European countries from major photography-oriented galleries and museums. Her experience from intensive cooperation with UNHCR, UNICEF (UN), the Department of National Minorities and Foreigners of the Department of Culture of the Prague Municipal Office and other organisations dealing with the integration of foreigners is invaluable. Her experience from several years of being a member on the Artistic Board of the Museum of Art and Design Benešov and the Editorial Board of the Gallery of Modern Art in Hradec Králové is also beneficial. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Teaching Fine Art (Faculty of Education), and Czech Language and Literature (Faculty of Arts) and received her PhD degree from the Department of Fine Arts Education at the Faculty of Education of Palacký University. She specialises in the interdisciplinary connections between fine arts, literature, typeface and text – as part of her extensive publishing activities.
